Windows 10: I accidentally entered a strange product key. How to know if it is safe or not?

Alright, this is embarrassing. However, this is for my own safety so I'll disclose everything. I was messing around, looking up product keys on google and decided to try them out. I picked a random sequence from the list and pasted into the bar. Then, I fixed the last letter, replacing with whatever my mind came up with on a whim. Even when a window popped up, I pressed accept - or something similar to that which activates the product key - without thinking. I did take my time to read some articles about this, and some say it's particularly dangerous. Now I'm not so sure of myself. If it is da

There is still a way to search for your product key. Kindly follow the steps below for you to know your product key:

• Press Windows key + X
• Click Command Prompt (admin)
• Enter the following command: wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey
• Then hit Enter

The product key will be revealed, copy the product key then enter it.

1. What is the version of Windows installed on your PC, is that Windows 10 Home or Pro?
2. Are you receiving any error message, when you are trying to activate your Windows 10?
3. Have you purchased the product key for Windows 10 while purchasing the laptop?
4. How did you run windows recovery?

For you to reveal your product key, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X.
• Click Command Prompt (admin).
• Enter the following command:
  
  wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey
• Hit Enter.
• The product key will be revealed.

You can also contact the manufacturer of your computer since you have the Service tag number.
