  1. I accidentally gave permissions to a program, and I only vaguely remember the name of that...

Windows suddenly popped up the notification of a program trying to access some permissions on my computer and I accidentally clicked allow.

Where can I find the place where I can check the individual programs that I had the permissions given to them?

And also is there a way to quickly check the recent permissions given to the programs?

    :)

    We appreciate your response.

If you're still unable to change the permission settings, you may try these steps:

    • Right-click on the application or program that you'd like to grant permissions.
    • Select Properties.
    • Click on Security > Edit.
    • Under Group or User names, click on the user account name you'd like to have changes with, then tick the
      boxes under Allow.
    • Click OK.

Let us know how it goes.

I suggest you to rebuild search index. Follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows key +X and click on
      Control Panel.

    • From the Control Panel window select Indexing Options.

    • Click the Advanced button.
      Note
: access to this option requires the PC administrator's permissions.
