Windows 10: I accidentally moved my Documents folder to OneDrive, but cant move it back

I accidentally moved my documents folder, when i try to reset it into position it says "access denied" i dont know how to move it back now

Cannot move documents folder out of OneDrive

Hello,

I've been trying to move my documents folder out of my OneDrive (I am on my laptop, and I accidentally let it sync everything in my documents folder on my laptop and desktop). I turned off all the backups in the OneDrive app, made sure everything required in the registry points to the local documents folder instead of OneDrive, and I at least tried to make OneDrive download the documents folder to my laptop, but when I try to move the file out of OneDrive, I end up with an estimated transfer time of over 1 day. I assume it's trying to pull the 3 GB file out of the cloud still, but even that would not explain why the transfer is effectively not happening at all. Is there anything that I'm doing wrong?

When you set up OneDrive to sync with your computer, a folder C:\Users\XXXX\OneDrive will be created to store the contents. XXXX denotes your username. To move this folder to another location follow these simple steps:

1. Unlink OneDrive from your PC:

• Go to the taskbar notification area
• Right-click on the OneDrive icon
• Select settings
• Click: Unlink this PC

2. Delete the C:\Users\XXXX\OneDrive folder

3. Create a new folder (target folder) for OneDrive contents, e.g. D:\OneDrive

4. Create Directory Junction for the new folder

• In the search area of the taskbar type CMD and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter
• In the command window type

mklink /J C:\Users\XXXX\OneDrive D:\OneDrive

adjusting it to your specific username and selection of the target folder

5. Link again OneDrive to your PC using the OneDrive icon in the taskbar notification area
