Windows 10: I accidentally ruined a game

since I’m stupid and goofy, on ark evolved i turned the resolution to “custom” as 9999 x 9999 for fun to see what happens, then it crashed saying “The UE4-ShooterGame has crashed and will close” and a error message under it with a bunch of numbers and letters basically meaning that it has invalid resolution and texture or something, i tried reopening ark and it just displays the same error message so basically I can’t play it anymore, i also tried deleting all files of the game but they all say that “item cannot be found””could not find this item” please help I’m a dummy and don’t know anythin

i am still on build 1809 and i am delaying using 1903 for now because i have been hearing that it ruins game performance. thanks for your tip and i will suggest it to others who are having that issue

 

Accidentally tagged applications as "Games" in game mode

Hi,

If you accidentally tagged other applications as game in game mode, you can remove or reverse it by following the steps below:

• Click Start and click Settings.
• Select System.
• Select Apps & features.
• Find the game or app and click Advanced options.
• Click Reset.
• Restart your device so that the changes can take effect.

Well, you haven't upgraded yet, and you are coming to conclusions just because others are complaining of the fps drops.

According to the recent benchmark tests, that's not the case. Windows May 2019 Update Performance Analysis (1903 vs. 1809) - 42 games benchmarked with GeForce cards - BabelTechReviews

Some games produce an increase in fps in 1903 vs 1809 such as Battlefield 5 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Albeit only 2 fps difference. But in virtually every test the frame rates have been identical.
