Windows 10: I accidentally started syncing my pc to onedrive but now ALL my pc file locations are...

Dear all,It's actually my husband. He turned on his pc and onedrive for the very first time asked him if he wanted to sync his pc with onedrive and he clicked yes without thinking. Then, ALL files on his pc started to get moved around during syncing and we are afraid if we stop the sync all file locations won't be restored. Now his pc desktop is flooded with files/folders and and they seem to keep moving around we're not sure if this is just temporary or if ALL of his files and folders on his pc will be misplaced once sync finishes. He has tons of work files and folders he can't work with any

Onedrive. PC onedrive deleted. Will the files online disappears.

I accidentally deleted the onedrive folder on my pc. When onedrive syncs will the online files be deleted or will they be still in the cloud?

Hi people,

I've been following tutorials online about changing the files listed on the This PC view with registry editor
I've removed quick access and network for example, and the system libraries.

I do uni work on the OneDrive, but I always miss it at the top, so I effectively want to swap it with the position of This PC or put it below This PC on the panel list.

I think I just need to know the location of a different section such as network and change the value of that to hold OneDrive, but I'm not sure.

 

Making PC desktop path native to onedrive folder?

Hi, I am using Microsoft office 365 as part of my institution package. Is it possible for the PC desktop files to natively display a folder from the onedrive? I want to make all common C: locations to onedrive locations. So if anything happens, I always have everything sync online?

Previously I synced the locations so from "C:\user\username" to other places on the PC. Previously, I use syncback to syncfolders to Onedrive and other HD's. However, this step is just redundant. When you sync onedrive to the PC, you still need to specify a place on the PC. So from "C:\user\username\ onedrive". Technically, Onedrive still uses a physical place on the PC to store files.
So what I did is that I specify which part of the onedrive to replace "My Documents", "My Pictures", "Downloads" folder in the quick access. I am having a problem specifying or replacing the Desktop folder. Is it possible to change my native desktop to display directly the desktop on the onedrive online? The only problem I see is application shortcuts. You cannot specify a shortcut to appear on the onedrive folder. Aside from that, I get full autosave function of MS files which is connected to Onedrive. If it is not possible to replace the desktop file, I will still use the same solution with syncback.
