Windows 10: I accidently deleted a page in Microsoft Journal

I was typing up notes in Microsoft Journal on a previous page and I didn't realise I deleted the page after it until I scrolled down. By the time I noticed, the undo button would not go back far enough for me to recover the page. I have tried recovering previous versions, but I have not seen that option for Microsoft Journal. This page was saved days ago before I went back today to re-edit my notes. I have checked the file properties, and no pervious versions are listed.

Old Windows Journal

Deleting OneNote pages

To delete a page from OneNote you can follow the below steps.

• In the "all pages" view find the page you want to delete
• press and hold on the page
• And press the "delete" option shown

OR

• Open the section having the page to be deleted.
• press and hold on the page which needs to be deleted
• And press the "delete" option shown

Windows Journal functionality issue

Before troubleshooting any further from here, I suggest you to check if the latest version of Windows Journal Writer application is installed in your computer.

If it still does not help, I suggest you to check if you to check if running the program in Compatibility mode helps to resolve the issue. Follow the below steps.

  Right–click the icon of the program.
  
• 
  Click Properties.
  
• 
  Click Compatibility tab.
  
• 
  To run the program for a different version of Windows, check the
  Run this program in compatibility mode for box and choose from the list.
  
• 
  Click Apply.
  
• 
  Click Ok.
