Windows 10: I ALSO HAVE -- Game Application Microphone issue Rainbow 6 Siege Ubisoft

This was originally a post made about a year ago, but I still have the same problem, and there does not exist a "Voice Chat Threshold Level" setting, only a setting that says "Voice Chat Input Sensitivity". I have tried turning it to 0, applying, turning it to 100, re-applying. Nothing. Hello, I am having a serious F-ed mic problem I can't resolve and I've tried everything you can find online



So I've done the following, and more;



Checked the Windows settings for the mic.

Updated drivers.

Ran the game in compatibility mode.

Disabled antivirus.

Reinstalled game.

Verified permissions.

Tried different in-game settings.

Tested mic with other apps/devices.

Updated everything.

Reset audio settings.

Tried different USB ports.

Ensured the headset is securely plugged in.

Disabled unnecessary audio devices in Windows settings.

Checked for firmware updates for the microphone/headset.

Tested microphone with other games.

Checked for known microphone issues in community forums. (Did all the tests they gave)

Contacted Ubisoft support.

Used a software platform as a host for the transmitter

I've used several microphones.

I've verified all permissions on every platform that could affect the game, Ubisoft, steam, siege, and Windows.



Literally, anything you can think and that's online I've done it, so i need a smart Microsoft person to think where I can't what do I do

Every single microphone works on every other app, software, game and even Windows.

including the one that I want to link. My headset, so it's deffo not a Windows issue, it's a Ubisoft issue, and they do not respond at all I'm losing my mind.



Siege no longer had an option for me to toggle "u" to talk, and it will no longer show me the microphone icon, it used to now it doesn't open the mic, just doesn't pick up sound

Yes, I have gone through all the siege settings, it's simply not that it's "not turned on in-game" it is.

I have no idea what this bs of a game is doing, Ubisoft has not replied and I've waited days, they are useless, hence me coming to the CEO of tech support so please tell me there is some genius who knows exactly what I'm talking about and how to fix it

I understand you need help with your mic not working on Rainbow 6 Siege.

I see that you've already tried a lot of fixes. Since your mic is working on other applications the issue lies within the game itself.

There are other players with the similar issue got fixed by setting the in-game Voice Threshold slider to 0 > Apply > then slide it back to 100 > Apply.

Can you try this one please?

I'm glad the alternative fix worked! Hopefully the game developers would deploy out a permanent fix for this issue so that players like yourself wouldn't need to adjust the voice threshold every time the issue appears.
