I also know about the menu items located in AppData and ProgramData but ...

I know about the following two locations for start menu items:%programdata%/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programsand%appdata%/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/ProgramsHowever, there are menu items that are not found in either of those two locations and I want to be able to move them to a Start menu folder. For example, in the picture below. I would like to be able to put these and other icons into a folder but cannot figure out where they are in the system and how to put them into a folder.Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    :)

  2. I know about the menu items located in AppData and ProgramData but ...

    These items reside here:

    C:\Users\JohnSmith\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

As I mentioned in the subject and my post, I'm aware of the following two locations, and that some of the Start menu icons are found in each, but
there are some Start menu items that are not found in either location, and I want to be able to move them to a Start menu folder.

    C:\Users\JohnSmith\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

I know about the menu items located in AppData and ProgramData but ...

... there are some menu items that are not found in either, and I want to be able to move them to a Start menu folder. For example, I have a Dell notebook that, when tools were installed, it created a folder in the Start menu named Dell but also created
two icons in the Start menu, one named Dell Digital Delivery and the other Dell Precision Optimizer. I want to move these two icons into the Dell folder but, for the life of me, I can't find where the shortcuts are (if they are even shortcuts) or figure out
how/why they got added to the Start menu rather than being added to the folder named Dell.

The above is just an example. There are other icons in the Start menu that I would like to move into folders so that the Start menu is less cluttered but, the shortcut for them is not located in Start Menu under either AppData or ProgramData.

    Ideas ?
