Windows 10: I am 45, my birth date in my profile is accurate, and I am getting blocked from benign web...

None of the posts I have read about this are helpful. I can't even use my laptop anymore as I can hardly browse ANY websites for basic shopping. It says I have to get permission from a family member to view but then that presents an error. I don't even have anyone other than me showing on the family page which I never set up by the way. It shows my correct birth year 1979 and I am getting blocked??

Change my date of birth on microsoft profile

To change the date of birth on your Microsoft Account, you can follow the steps below:

• Sign in to
  Your info on the Microsoft account website.
• Click Edit your personal info.
• Select the correct date of birth, and then select Save.

If the birth date on a Microsoft account says that it belongs to a child, there are different steps to take in regions that regulate what children can do online. You can check this

Correcting incorrect date of birth

Dear NietVan2013,In this case I suggest you try the following;

Sign in with your "child" Windows account;

Go to link:account.microsoft.com and log in with your "child" name;

Click Your Information;

Click Edit Profile Information;

Try changing the date of birth on the account;

If you manage to change the date of birth, log in with the adult account;

Go to: family.microsoft.com

Remove your family group account;
