    Summed it up pretty good.

    The computer can run the application but only from the desktop shortcut, and it asks for admin permission every time.

    If I go I to the program files and they to run from the .exe, I get an error saying that the sfl.dll file is missing, even though it is right beside the .exe in the folder.

    The application uninstaller does not run and it is not listed as an application in the "Remove a program" menu.

    Help me fix this.

    Running with Administrator Privileges

    I have at least two programs that when started give a message to not run with Administrator privileges. I am not running those programs with Administrator privileges. I have checked each program and applicable shortcut and the "Run as Administrator"
    box is not checked under Preferences, but the program still thinks it is being run in an elevated mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Running Programs for a standard user

    Hello

    You mentioned checking the the box 'Run as Administrator'

    This is the opposite of what I require ,I wanted to avoid running programs as admin . By unchecking 'Run As Administrator' I am still getting an admin credential verification prompt

    Any further suggestions ?

    That's what puzzles me, I am logged-in as (my username) but still won't give me admin privileges. I checked under control panel/users amd it shows me as a local account. Tried to right click on CMD prompt but the "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR" doesn't show up
