Windows 10: I am connected to the ethernet but downloading updates, apps, drivers does not work.

Hello,As I am typing this request, I am able to access the web and watch videos however the moment I try to update my drivers, windows update, or even discord update everything fails. I have tried a lot of suggestions on the web but all has failed thus far.1 I have restarted my computer doesn't work2 I have reset my modem doesn't work3 I tried to factory reset my computer but the process fails and I get a messaging says "There was a problem resetting your PC"4 I ran command prompt w/ administrator and typed "sfc /scannow" but I get this error -"Beginning verification phase of system scan.

New build, all works but ethernet

Go to the asus web site and look up your motherboard model. Then go to drivers and download your ethernet driver

I would suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps,

Method 1: I suggest you to update drivers and check if that helps. If that issue persist please uninstall and reinstall latest drivers available in manufacturer website.

• Press “Windows + X” and select Device manger.
• Select Network Driver and expand the driver icon.
• Right click on the driver icon and click on Update.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to update the driver.

Method 2: I would also suggest you to
reset TCP/IP if you have Internet connection issues.

Please follow the below steps for the same

1. Type command prompt in the Search bar and then right click and Run as Administrator mode.

2. Type the command netsh int ip reset.

3. Restart the computer and check if it helps.

My reliable ethernet connection no longer works

To better understand the query, please answer the following questions:

• After restarting is your computer in normal mode or not?
• Are you getting any error message?

I suggest you to reset the modem\ router and check if the Ethernet connection works or not.

If still the issue persist then I suggest you to follow the steps from the below article
