Windows 10: I am facing issues in my windows update having error code as 0x80070003 plz help

Help me to tackle this situation . I have tried using windows recovery mode but still help less and the issue still persistsError code 0x80070003

Windows defender doesn't update- Error code 0x80070003

This applies to Windows 8/8.1 and probably applies to Win 10. Many of the suggested fixes for various issues have yet to be updated by MS to reflect whether they are applicable to the new OS.
