Windows 10: I am forced to bring up Bing to login to my computer

A previous poster same question title, June 4, 2022 - thread now locked, so I couldn't reply to it described the same problem, which seemed to be unresolved. Until a few days ago, when I opened or woke my laptop, I would see the Windows Spotlight Lockscreen with its daily-changing scenic pictures. Very nice. Then I would press the escape or return key or probably any key, I think to bring up the enter PIN box. Typing my PIN would then unlock the screen and I would be back to my desktop or whatever document or browser tab or email I was last working on. Now, however, pressing a key no longe

I am forced to bring up Bing to login to my computer

When I wake up my computer, or after doing a restart, I am eventually presented with a pretty picture. The time and date are in the lower left and the power status and network status are in the lower right. In the upper left is a small bit of narrative about the picture. In the upper right is some text I can hover over to find where the picture was taken or what it is of. In the center is some narrative I can click on which, when I have logged in to my computer, will bring up Edge at a Bing website with information about the location of the picture.

Up until recently, I could click anywhere on the screen (but NOT on any of the bits of text) to get all the text (plus the time and date and the power and network status symbols) to disappear and the password entry screen to appear. I would then enter my password to be taken to my desktop and/or to the applications I left running.

NOW, I cannot get past this "welcome" or "picture" screen UNLESS I click on the text in the middle. When I do, my password entry screen appears and I an enter my password. But THEN, when my desktop appears, Edge automatically opens to a Bing search result web page about the picture that was on the welcome screen. Now I have to close Edge Bing to get to my desktop.

I find this incredibly irritating and I want to know how to permanently stop this behavior. Why should I be forced to have to wait for Edge to start and then close it just so I can do my work?

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.
