    I am getting 0xc0000135 error code when attempting to boot up my Vista on HP


    I am running Vista-64 think 64! Basic on an HP pavillon desktop which was donated to me. as is! Unfortunately attempts to boot up the system have been unsuccessful and the 0xc0000135 error appears. Vista I know is ancient but thought this would be useful for my elderly Mother to familiarise herself with the basics of Windows which she has limited knowledge.Possibly some guidance as very annoying Many thanks Long

    Windows 10 boot error 0xc0000135

    I restarted my computer, and now Windows 10 no longer boots up. Instead, I get error 0xc0000135 whenever I try to boot my computer, and the automatic repair fails as well. I cannot boot to safe mode, and my attempts to use system restore didn't work either.


    I have a couple questions:

    1. What does this error code mean? What are the possible causes of this failure?

    2. I did some searching, and it seems the suggested fix for this involves reinstalling my OS. Is there a way I can troubleshoot or fix this issue without reinstalling Windows 10 and losing my applications and their settings?

    Windows 10 boot error 0xc0000135

    Hi,

    As I mentioned before in my first post, I already attempted to boot into safe mode by changing boot options, and I got the same 0xc0000135 error. I am using MalwareBytes as my antivirus software.

    Well, earlier today i was trying to setup a dual boot along with Xp and already had vista installed... so I made a partition on one of my HD's and went to install XP on it.. the instalation went back and I got an error that the CD was bad, so I rebooted and now I get the error Error Loading Operating System.. trying to figure out how to fix this.. I tryed playing in the BIOS along with using the Vista repair option but nothing helping.. my vista is on a different hard drive then where i tried to install XP to...not sure what else to do, I need to fix my boot file somehow... suggestions?
