    I am getting a black screen with only my cursor showing on my Surface Studio 2


    Hi,My surface studio froze so I forced a restart by holding down the power button. When I booted up the computer I got a screen saying that there were updates happening. After the update screen was done and I was able to log in my screen was black with only my cursor showing. I have tried restarting my computer multiple times I still got the black screen with a visible cursor. I have tried pressing Ctrl+Shift+Win+B and nothing happened. I have even tried unplugging my computer and when I turned it back on I got a windows screen with text saying it was doing a disc check, I still got a black

    • Were you able to get to the desktop screen after you restarted the system?
    • When the screen was blank, were you able to see the cursor on the screen?
    • Did you get any error code or error message?

    Please get back to us with answers to above questions, for us to suggest the appropriate troubleshooting steps.

    Lenovo Explorer Not Working on Surface Studio 2

    I just upgraded to from a Surface Pro 5 to the Surface Studio 2. My Lenovo Explorer Windows Mixed Reality headset doesn't seem to work with the Surface Studio. (Tested and confirmed it still works on the Surface Pro 5). I bought a new USB-C to HDMI adapter
    (seeing as how the Studio 2 doesn't have a mini display port). The headset it recognized. Tracking works just fine.. but in the headset itself, no image is shown. It's just displaying a slightly illuminated black screen.

    I'm running Windows 10 Pro 1809 with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card. There doesn't appear to be any driver updates available for either the graphics card or the headset. I checked both by just looking for driver updates in device manager and manually
    at Lenovo's site.

    So this is not a BSOD ? Have a Windows 10 disc or USB Flash Drive made ? How are you getting to task manager Ctrl.+Alt+Del ? Any cursor on screen ?
