Windows 10: I am getting a Checking media fail message when I start my Dell computer. I saw one...

When I start me Dell Inspiron 15 laptop, I get the message "Checking media fail". I haven't tried anything other than looking for information. I found a suggested solution on this site, but the solution was for Windows 8, and I have Windows 10. Any other solutions to this problem for Windows 10?

I have a Dell Inspiron computer. I noticed that when I start my computer I get a message saying "checking media fail" and then it says it again. Finally after that my computer starts up. Is this a problem for my computer and if so how do I get it to stop?

Unable to "get media content" from text messages.

My Nokia 920 on ATT was showing this exact error "getting media content" for a long time... finally spent a chunk of time attempting all suggestions above...

FIXED:

1. Created New MMS APN (steps here: Setup Guide for AT&T APN Settings Windows Phone & MMS Settings )
   • still didn't work
2. Deleted MMS APN
3. Group messages started working!! No more "getting media content", it just shows up.

Note: Didn't help

- Back up text on/off

- Group text on/off

- Data on/off
