I am getting a desktop message that says this copy of Windows is not genuine And a window comes up that says I am not using genuine Windows. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate Edition, although I was using Windows 7 Ultimate for almost 15 months, windows was activated there. Some days ago I upgrade it to Windows 10 Pro edition. Windows was activated. Windows 10 Pro was not working properly on my Laptop, I was getting very slow response while using this Windows 10 Pro edition. So after 5-6 days, I decided to go back to Windows 7 ultimate edition and since then it is showing that "This copy of Windo

Windows 7 not genuine problem

It seems like that's an OEM windows copy, it will do that the every time you reinstall the OS. If you have the key, next time you see the "not genuine windows copy" click it and choose to activate by phone, everything else is pretty straight forward as it explains step-by-step. If it doesn't work, then its highly likely that you got a Pirate copy.

 

This copy of Windows is not genuine

I purchased a pc(desktop) with windows 7 already "installed". Suddenly I get the message that This copy of Windows is not genuine.

 

Suddenly getting this message... "This copy is not genuine"

So...have been using (and updating) Win 7 since I bought it (boxed at Staples) when I built this PC about 3 yrs ago.

Today I booted it up and the windows logo, the 4 colors come together to form the logo.

Instead of my desktop, I see a black screen and this message:

Windows 7

Built 7601

This copy is not genuine

Then the desktop appears...and one know WFT is going on?

This happened again when I did a 2nd cold boot.
