Windows 10: I am getting a desktop messages that says this copy of windows is not genuine

And a window comes up that says I am not using genuine windows. This is not true as I have the Windows 7 Home Edition DVD with Product Key and have had it for years

Windows 7 not genuine problem

It seems like that's an OEM windows copy, it will do that the every time you reinstall the OS. If you have the key, next time you see the "not genuine windows copy" click it and choose to activate by phone, everything else is pretty straight forward as it explains step-by-step. If it doesn't work, then its highly likely that you got a Pirate copy.

 

This copy of Windows is not genuine

I purchased a pc(desktop) with windows 7 already "installed". Suddenly I get the message that This copy of Windows is not genuine.

 

Suddenly getting this message... "This copy is not genuine"

So...have been using (and updating) Win 7 since I bought it (boxed at Staples) when I built this PC about 3 yrs ago.

Today I booted it up and the windows logo, the 4 colors come together to form the logo.

Instead of my desktop, I see a black screen and this message:

Windows 7

Built 7601

This copy is not genuine

Then the desktop appears...and one know WFT is going on?

This happened again when I did a 2nd cold boot.
