I understand that you are experiencing an error "Something went wrong, we can't use your PIN" on the Windows lock screen.

1. Did you make any recent changes to the computer? Did you install Windows updates last before turning off your computer?

2. Do you have the option to sign in with your Microsoft account Password instead?

First, see if you can boot the PC in safe mode and try other recovery options in the Windows recovery environment to fix the login issue.

1. Boot your PC in safe mode:

• On the Windows sign-in screen, press and hold the Shift key while you select Power > Restart .

• After your PC restarts to the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.

• After your PC restarts, you'll see a list of options. Select 4 or F4 to start your PC in safe mode. In safe mode, you can use your Microsoft account password to sign in.

Try resetting your Windows Hello PIN from the safe mode. (Go to settings > Accounts > Sign in options > Windows Hello PIN > click Reset)

2. If you are having trouble logging in to safe mode, try other options in the recovery screen.

a. First select System restore method and see if you can reset your Windows Hello PIN.

If you are still experiencing issues after performing system restore method, on the Recovery environment screen, select Reset this PC > Keep my files > and perform a local re-installation. This will reinstall the Operating system without affecting your personal files and you would be able to reset your PIN on the lock screen.
