Windows 10: I am getting microsoft screen sketch app activation failed .

Hi Folks, this is regarding storeapp issues in VDIsWe are running a Citrix vdi environment and recently upgraded master images from 1909 to 21H2. Post upgrade users started complaint that calculator and screen sketch apps are not launching , we have gone through the event logs and found the below error“Activation for Microsoft.ScreenSketch_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App failed. Error code: This appdoes not support the contract specified or is not installed., Activation phase: Deployment"We have tried uninstall appaxpackage and reinstall , we have tried reregister appc packages but nothing worked Few artic

Screen flickering while using Snip and Sketch

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



We understand the concern as you are having a flickering screen while using Snip and sketch on your PC.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the make and model of the PC?
• Do you see this behavior in any other application?

Meanwhile, let us try few steps.



Step 1: Reset Snip & Sketch app.

1. Press Windows + I key to open Windows
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Apps and select
   Apps & feature from the left pane.
   
3. Scroll and look for the Snip & Sketch
   app.
   
4. Select the app and click on Advanced option.
   
5. Click on Reset and once you see a tick mark, then relaunch and check.
   

Step 2: Update display driver.

We would suggest you to update the display driver from Device Manager. Please refer this article to update the driver:

You can choose snip delays from jump lists as well...

It seems...

snips will only automatically paste into S&S UI by way of the S&S Menu or S&S jump lists...







UNLESS...

you have Notifications for S&S enabled, then, if you've snipped by way of Win+Shift+S, or other, you can then paste it in S&S UI by clicking on the banner...





btw...

S&S will populate jump lists if you select files and Open with... S&S:
