Windows 10: I am getting no sound from Edge. I am getting sound from Adobe Audition. What seems to be...

There are about a half dozen sound devices on this Dell PC. I have Adobe Audition installed. I play music fine with Adobe Audition. I open a web browser and try to play streaming audio. Think YOUTUBE, for example. NO SOUND. The end user interface provided by billion dollar corporation MICROSOFT is not intuitive and is confusing. Several volume controls in various locations either do not affect the device in action at a given time or simultaneously affect the active device. It is hard to determine which device is the active device unless one laboriously scans the various disorganized SOUND end user interfaces. See Settings. See Control Panel. See Properties. Holy Cow! This is awful. The sound functionality is MUCH BETTER in Windows 8. MUCH WORSE in Windows 10.

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

  Type sounds in search bar and hit
  enter.
  
• 
  Select the sounds tab.
  
• 
  Click on the drop down under sound schemes and select
  no sounds.
