Windows 10: I am getting the error CLiP license device ID does not match the device ID in the bound...

I have been trying to download minecraft for over three hours now and I keep getting varying errors. I have no idea why this is occuring as I have a brand new laptop. It is windows 11 and I am assuming that is causing part of the issue but I have no idea. I have uninstalled/reinstalled about a dozen times, logged in and out so many times over, checked my system for corrupted files. I find it crazy cause I own minecraft and can't access it.

clip license device id does not match the device id in the bound device license after hardware changing

I recently built a whole new PC and wanted to install Minecraft from the Microsoft store. I get the error "clip license device id does not match the device id in the bound device license after hardware changing" every single time I try to launch it. I'm signed into the correct account on my computer, in my Microsoft Store, and in my Xbox app. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the game, logged out and in from everything and rebooted my pc, still getting the error. I've seen the solutions mentioned here (Redirecting) and here (Redirecting) but those have not worked for me. Why am I locked out of games that I've purchased?

 

CLiP license id does not match the device in the bound device license

Replaced Mobo and CPU and now when I try to play a game from the game pass I get a prompt saying

"CLiP license id does not match the device in the bound device license"

I used to have windows 10 but I bought a new windows 11 key and did a fresh install of windows.

Iv signed out of windows stores and game pass, made sure my game pass account is link to the same Microsoft account.

 

CLiP License device ID does not match the device ID in the bound device license.

This is a brand new gaming laptop, I signed in to the xbox app, downloaded games and they wont launch I keep getting the same error.

"CLiP License device ID does not match the device ID in the bound device license"

I've scoured the internet in search for a solution.

-Ive signed out and signed back into both the store and xbox app

-Ive restarted the laptop

-Ive reset all the store and xbox app (also cortana, didnt work)

-Ive ran the system file checker tool via the CMD prompt

-> I should note when editing permissions and going into the advanced security settings I got a message saying something is corrupt.

Ive been able to run other apps in the store without issue. the issue is with games not opening in the xbox games app. for right now that is forza horizon and minecraft. same error for both.

please help.
