Windows 10: I am having a bsod issue from ks.sys and neet do open minidump

Randomly my computer will bsod and say that ks.sys is the failure, after googling its seems like its a driver issue, i have minidumps saved from the crashes but i am unable to open them to see what drivers were running when the computer crashed. if anyone has any tips on opening the .dmp file it is greatly appreciated. I get an issue where WinDbg says "%1 is not a valid Win32 application."


running an

intel 7th gen processor

ks.sys BSOD dell built-in webcam

ok i think i kinda find how to fixed this

well at least the loop bsod everytime i plug the webcam usb or restart (while the usb plugged) stopped

i am not sure if this stable enough (random bsod)

after reading lots of bsod on net.. i found this post

so culprit is between webcam creative driver and westerndigital mybook smartware

so i uninstall all webcam software (that packed with the dell driver installer) and then also uninstall wd smartware (also removing all things related to both that listen on uninstall program list)

reboot the system, then plug it... windows10 automatically install the driver, it showing up as correct device

just for be safe, i reboot once more...

and then re-install smartware (i know its **** and not needed)

so far no bsod

so for people having issue, and have both device

i suggest follow the step above

Just make sure let windows detect+install webcam first

before installing wd smartware

 

BSOD qcamain10x64.sys - Lenovo Yoga 520-14IKB

My computer have last few weeks got a BSOD, for the qcamain10x64.exe, I reinstalled the driver, and now the issue is with the qcamain10x64.sys.

• Minidump
• Sysinfo

Hope to get this sorted out. The problem occurs iregulary, but today I've been travling and have had the crash several times already.

 

Bsod with Vista64

Well i finally found a site where it tells the average computer user , step by step how to open a minidump through windbg . I was shocked to see the first one had at the Image name Ntfs.sys can this really be making problems?, the second was with video driver and the third is with tcpip.sys *Frown .
