Windows 10: I am having a constant shutdown/reboot and see a report on a Fan Control App crash each time.

A new computer, Windows 11. Constant shutdown and reboot blue screen. Running Iolo System Mechanic report shows a Fan Control App crash each time it shuts down. Any ideas on how to correct this? I have tried several app repair methods, one said corrupted files had been repaired, but problem persists.Any ideas on what this is and how to fix it?

Fan control for 4870X2 broken in 1.17

Fixed fan controls yes. Annoying profiles yes. Buggy code yes.

I'd rather just set it and forget it as the feature list of RBE suggested it was capable of doing.

 

Constant Crashing & Sleep Wake Issues

First Problem: about 80% of the time, my laptop won't wake up from sleep mode via keyboard press or mouse move/click. I seem to be missing many common features in power plan too, even after fresh Windows 10 install.
Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Reinstalled Windows 10 (clean)
2. Updated all drivers
3. Replicated on multiple Windows 10 versions, updates
4. BIOS latest version
5. No USB devices attached, ever. Only USB-C power and bluetooth mouse
6. Disabled "fast startup" in control panel

Second Problem:constantly crashing, blue screen of death.

Utility for laptop fan control?

Note that, depending on your laptop, any direct control of the fan may not be possible. I suggested the one above as it seems aimed at laptops in particular- but I've not tried it.

E.g. Speedfan lists no fan on my Thinkpad.

It has preset configurations for different machines: e.g.




which for my t440s gives
