Windows 10: I am having a fault with my basic display adapter

I woke up today from playing and working on the computer yesterday all fine and dandy, then my HDMI port would not display. I did all to physical hardware checks all are not having issues. I have checked the Device Manager and it shows that the Basic Display Adapter is in a Code 31. I updated all my drivers that where available to update and the new windows update and nothing changed! I would appreciate any help regarding this! I am semi knowledgeable on this but definitely need help learning more.

   • Browse my computer for driver software: If you have already downloaded the latest driver from the manufacturer's website, select this option and browse to the location where the driver is saved on your computer.
     
5. Automatically Install: If you selected the first option, Windows will search for the latest driver and automatically install it if one is found.
   
6. Manual Installation: If you selected the second option, browse to the location of the downloaded driver and follow the on-screen instructions to manually install it.
   
7. Restart Your Computer: After the driver update is complete, it's a good idea to restart your computer to apply the changes fully.

the problem is cannot change microsoft basic display adapter, not getting full screen on display, also seeing a yellow arrow on the adapter in device manager, was able to get full screen when using win xp. how do i fix this problem,

No Display after Microsoft Basic Display Adapter

Make sure that you are able to access the display on your device to follow the below troubleshooting step.

I suggest you to download the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website, place the computer in Safe mode with Networking, uninstall the existing drivers, re-install the new drivers manually and check if it helps.

10, try to install the drivers in compatibility mode.

Step 3: Follow the below steps to
place the computer in normal mode.

• Press Windows + R keys to open
  Run command.
• Type msconfig and press
  Enter.
• In the System Configuration window, click on
  General tab.
• Select Start-up selection as
  Normal startup, click on Apply
  and Ok.
• Follow onscreen instructions.
