Windows 10: I am having a problem on file explorer

when ever i open file explorer, by default, it opens to the home tab, which has three categories 1. Quick Access2. Favorites3. Recentthe "Quick Access" tab has a WHITE SQUARE on it whenever i open after closing the file explorer. But if i go from c drive or other files to home tab, the square doesn't appear. Any solution to this?

File Explorer not responding problem.

Try this steps because I think it's related with quick access in file explorer:

1. Open a new Explorer window.
2. Click View in the ribbon.
3. Click Options.
4. Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
5. Click OK.

Now it should hopefully work fine.

This is not a problem I've seen before. Suggest you a. do a couple of routine checks on your disk, and then your file system b. try an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs and data Simple 4 step instructions have been posted scores of times on tenforums.
