Windows 10: I am having a very strange problem and I can't think of a short title for it :

I am using Windows 10.Sometimes when I start my PC, it seems to start in a very buggy way, where everything I do during this bugged session, every change I make, every file I download, create or delete, nothing is remembered the next time I start the PC, as if the previous session never happened and if I continue using the PC in this bugged state it will give me a blue screen error with the code MEMORY_MANAGMENT after a while. After the error the PC will restart on it's own and it will still be in the bugged state after the restart and for every restart I do at this point. If however I turn it

Strange title-display for Windows Security in menu and settings

I have just done a direct upgrade from Win7 Pro to Win10 Pro (version 20H2) on a Lenovo T430 laptop. I'm still tweaking the setup to suit.

While doing so I have noticed that what I think should be the "Windows Security" or "Windows Defender" listings in both the Startup menu and in Settings show a very strange title or label consisting of a long string of explanatory text.

When I mouse over that menu entry the full long string of text appears:





Why do these strings of text appear rather than a normal app or program title? What should the listing/headings say? And how do I get the correct titles to display?

 

Strange boot problem

I am trying to get my head round the 6 steps above before having a go. If you can expand on them it may give me a bit more confidence. I cant lose the whole contents of my PC.
Have attached details as you suggested.

 

8800GTS problems.

Seems pretty strange to me. I have a standard 8800GTS, the only problem I get is the BSOD nv4_disp.dll thing, which in my case I think is linked to heat on other parts of the video card.

I would suggest completely removing the drivers using Driver Cleaner, and install the ones that came with the card first. If the problem continues, remove again, try the newest drivers. If it still happens, underclock the card and try the same steps. In the end, talk to EVGA and see what they tell you.
