Windows 10: I am having difficulties with the camera on my Dell XPS 9320.

The camera on my Dell XPS 9320 gives this error code: 0xADDF429F<WindowShowFailes> 0x80131505. There was another error code that I did not capture as well. I have updated the app and my computer but still does not work. Suggestions?

Dell Monitor Camera

I have a Dell Monitor hooked to a Dell XPS Laptop. I want to use the monitor camera not the laptop camera. I've tried the suggestions from a closed thread about activating the camera but when I try the steps it keeps going to the laptop camera.

Suggestions or am I asking the impossible.

The webcam issue with the XPS 13 Plus 9320 is a common problem, and some users have reported that the webcam works better on Windows 10. However, Dell has not yet provided a dedicated driver or solution for Windows 11, other than basic troubleshooting instructions.

Here is how I Resolved Webcam issue on XPS 13 Plus 9320.

Instructions:

1. Back up your personal data to the cloud or an external hard drive.
   
2. Create a Windows 10 bootable USB drive or flash drive using the Microsoft Media Creation Tool.
   
3. Boot your computer using the bootable USB drive or flash drive.
   
4. In the BIOS menu, enable UEFI and choose the AHCI option. Save your changes and exit the BIOS menu.
   
5. Boot your computer using the bootable USB drive or flash drive again.
   
6. Delete all existing partitions on your internal storage device and install Windows 10.
   
7. If you don't have an internet connection, download the Wi-Fi adapter driver on another computer and install it on your XPS 13 Plus 9320.
   
8. Update all of your drivers using the Dell Update application, including the Intel-2D-Imaging-MCU-Visual-Sensing-Controller-Driver.
   
9. Update Windows 10 using Windows Update.
   
10. Test your webcam using the Camera app.
    
11. Create a Windows restore point so that you can roll back to this point in case of any future issues.
    

Tips:

• If you are unable to boot your computer using the bootable USB drive or flash drive, make sure that you have disabled Secure Boot in the BIOS menu.
  
• If you are unable to connect to the internet using Wi-Fi, you can use a USB-to-Ethernet adapter to connect to an Ethernet cable.
  
• If you are still having problems with your webcam, contact Dell support over the phone for further assistance.

Bult-in Webcam for XPS 13 Plus 9320 not working

My Dell XPS 13 Plus 9320 (Service Tag: CHYTKR3, Express Service Code: 27207799887) is running Windows 11 Home 64Bit 10.0 Build 22621. Recently, the built-in webcam stopped working. When I try to open the camera using the Windows Camera app, I get the error message "We cannot find your camera."

I have followed your instructions and fully updated my PC, enabled all relevant settings, and checked the firewall, but the webcam is still not working.

One exception is that I was unable to update the "Intel-2D-Imaging-MCU-Visual-Sensing-Controller-Driver" using Dell Update. It failed with the error message "Failed to update." please help.
