Windows 10: I am having issues across multiple MS apps.

Using Windows 11. The problem began after the last security patch KB5012170. MS Edge security is set to Balanced.The symptoms are as follows:1 In Outlook, embedded pictures in e-mails fail to download even for trusted senders.2 I am unable to load MS Store even after using "repair" and "reset," error code 0x80131500.3 The MS Solitaire Collection fails to fully log me in with error code 121003.4 Unable to launch widgets.I have cleared my cache - no luck.

I would suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps:

  Open multiple apps that you want.
  
• 
  Right click on the task bar.
  
• 
  From the jump menu select Show all windows side by side.
  

I also suggest you to run app troubleshooter and check if it helps.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
