  1. I am having problems with language & input settings

Hi. I tried to be as detailed as possible so this is a long post but I've included a TL;DR at the end.

My system language is set to English (United Kingdom) and this is also the language I type / spellcheck in. However, since my keyboard has an ANSI layout, my primary language on Windows is set to English (United Kingdom) but my keyboard layout is set to US QWERTY (here is what this looks like https://imgur.com/a/NKkhzKX). I am also currently learning Japanese so the only other language I have on Windows is Japanese with the keyboard layout set to Microsoft IME (here is what this looks like https://imgur.com/a/wIngbxG).

With the context out of the way, here is my problem: Windows randomly decides to add 2 more keyboard layouts seemingly at random and I don't know how to get rid of them. When I press Alt+Shift to change input language, it lets me choose from 4 options (here is what this looks like https://imgur.com/a/qltDzNI):

    • English (UK), US Keyboard [I want to keep this one]
    • English (UK), UK Keyboard [I want to get rid of this one]
    • Japanese, Microsoft IME [I want to keep this one]
    • English (US), US Keyboard [I want to get rid of this one]

When I restart my PC after experiencing this issue, the languages I can pick from go back to the 2 that I want, but after a short while the other 2 that I don't want are also added. I would appreciate it if someone could help me get to the bottom of this and find a way to prevent the 2 extra input modes from showing up.

Note: The reason this is annoying is because if I only had my 2 desired input languages, I could quickly toggle between them with Alt+Shift but the way it is now I need to cycle between them which gets annoying after a while if I'm doing work that requires me to frequently change language.

TL;DR: I only want UK English (US Layout) and Japanese (Microsoft IME) as my 2 input modes but Windows keeps randomly adding UK English (UK Layout) and US English (US Layout) to my list of input modes and I want to find out how I can stop them from appearing.

    Problem with input languages (changing)

My display language is English (us).
I just have greek as an option to write.
Today I booted my pc again and I had the two correct languages (english us and greek).
Now I have english uk too.
But I can't remove it. Neither from settings, nor from control panel.

The laptop was bought from UK, so I understand that maybe the (native) language somehow was english uk, but how do I find this setting and how do I change it?
I made a new user, not admin, to check if the problem appears here too. After one day, the new user has the same problem with englush uk appearing again.

I also found this and I did the steps 12-13-14-15 (for english us) and I hope it will stay this way.

I have problem with language input

Hi, I have problem with my input language. I set it up to be switchable between English (United States) and Thai, but it shows Englis (UK) randomly sometimes when I start the Windows up.

In the Language Preferences menu, it only shows 2 languages:

Please suggest the way to fix this up.

    Cheers,
