Windows 10: I am having problems with some apps not starting

For some time now, some apps on my windows 10 pc stopped working notably spotify, skype and mediaplayer. When i try to start these apps get an error stating I dont have access to the corresponding files. Starting in admin mode doesn't work. I can't reinstall Spotify because the deinstall-button int the search panel is greyed out and it doesn't even show up in the control panel. Please help!

1. Is Cortana able to search the apps installed?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if that helps.

• Type Start Settings in Search and hit
  Enter.
• Turn on Show recently added apps in jump list of Start of Taskbar.

Windows 10 Start menu is empty

Hi. Steps 1 and 2 didn't do much but step 3 has restored what looks like the list of original Microsoft apps but no sign of any of the many apps I have installed. And there are no tiles in the start menu. Any suggestions please?
