Windows 10: I am having trouble changing my typing language.

Hello,I've tried all the normal solutions for the issue I have and none have worked. Whenever I type words like specialised it always wants to change it to the American way. Please can anyone help fix this as its been really annoying. Could it possibly be the keyboard itself that is the issue? I don't think it is but please can someone help me fix this.

Why is Use language list only showing UK, and not US as another option in view of the steps I have taken to install it and put it at the top of my list? What is the' language bar', referred to? I don't think I have ever seen it, or am not recognising it if I had. And why is Keyboard shown as English UK when Settings is opened?

I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the language settings, so that the language icon will be displayed on the taskbar:

• Press ‘Windows+X’, click ‘Control Panel’.
• Click on ‘Languages’ and on the left side go to
  ‘Advanced settings’.
• Under ‘Switching input methods’, check the option
  ‘Use desktop language bar when it is available’.
• Click on ‘Save’ and check in the ‘Taskbar’
  whether the language icon is visible or not.
