Windows 10: i am locked out of my business admin account how do i get access via authenticator again?

case ID 2505281420000158 can somebody please have the professional courtesy to ring me back Ive tried customer support 10+ times and get put on hold for hrs only to be hung up on. can anyone assist?

Cannot access shared network drive


Personally, I wouldnt use Everyone. If anyone hacks into you, they have full access to everything and can demolish everything on your raid. I would rather set up accounts and access separately for each person. That way, I know who did all that damage. In the end with a little extra work, I feel more secure by using Authenticated Users.


If this helps.
step 1 create non-microsoft account and without email and address without admin rights
step 2 share a drive or folder to specific user account (if Everyone is listed, remove it)
step 3 set security > add Authenticated Users (if more than 1 account) or add specific users
step 3a remove Everyone from list
step 3b uncheck full control and write for all items listed except SYSTEM and Admin account.
step 4 right click Start > Computer Management > System Tools > Shared Folders > Shares ... to verify settings and change anything else. You can also see the number of connections to each share here.

1. Are you using a Microsoft account or a local account?
   
2. Which version of Windows 10 you are using currently?
   
3. Is the other user account an admin account?
   

I suggest you to try using the on screen keyboard at the login page and check if you are able to login to the PC.

1. At the login screen click on the
   ease of access icon at the bottom right hand corner.
   
2. Click on the on screen keyboard to open it.
   
3. Type the password and try to login.
   

If you are using a Microsoft account, I suggest you to refer the article on

how to reset your Microsoft account password.



However, if you are using a local account, then I suggest you to refer the article on

reset your Windows 10 local account password.



Note: While performing these steps, there might be a risk of data loss. You may take a backup of the data before performing the steps.

No access to MS Small Business (Authenticator App does not work)

Hi all,

I have a big issue with my MS Account(s): Ma mistake probably was, that I am using the same eMail address for my Microsoft Family subscription AND for my MS Small Business Subscription. Now I want to cancel MS Small Business , I try to log into the Microsoft Business Admin Center, but this des not work. After entering my user name an my password, the system asks me to enter the Code shown in the Authenticator App. But there is no Code available in the Authenticator App. Then I click "other ways to enter..", tried both options, both refer to the authenticator app, no code, no message, nothing- it does not work.

So how can I cancel my Small Business Subscription without having access to my account?
