Windows 10: I am not able to open screenshots

I am suddenly unable to open my screenshots. I can take them, but they show an error symbol, which makes it impossible to open them, much less edit them. It used to work perfectly until today. Any ideas? I have eliminated documents to have more storage space, restarted the computer several times, switched browsers.... nothing seems to work. I use Windows ten.

Thanks for the quick reply. While your suggestion does change the sign in process, it doesn't address the differing screenshot question. Following the steps doesn't make the login screenshot the same as the Lock screenshot. As I mentioned, I can't even find the screenshots being used for both screens.

Still looking a solution to this. Open to any other suggestions you might have to the problem. Thanks!

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Open File Explorer and click on This PC in the left navigation pane.
• Navigate to the location: C:\Users\<Username>\Pictures\Screenshots.
• Right click on the Screenshots folder and select Properties.
• Click on the Location tab in the Properties Window.
• Change the location to the desired location and click on Move.

Screenshots-no option for opening via Paint

I'm sorry but I'm not referring to the ability of Paint to open a screenshot, but the listing of suggested apps in opening a screenshot via file explorer. This is what I mean:





There's no option to open it via Paint. So I wonder why.
