Windows 10: I am not able to update windows defender. how can i do this?

my action center showing update spyware and virus protection. while I doing this it is stopped in between the session. how can I resolve it. and also having problem on bluetooth connection. pc doesn't recognise the device.

Sounds like you possibly have another security program installed or there may be
remnants of such a program you previously used that are still on the computer and are interfering with Windows Defender.

Hi Rob,

The error message 0x80240022 is caused by an outdated Windows Defender signature.

Here's a step by step instruction on how to update the signature for Windows Defender:

• On the "Search" bar, type in Settings
• Click on "Update & Security".
• On the left pane, find Windows Defender. Click on it.

• Select the Update tab.
• Select the Update definitions button.

If the Update definitions finds a new update signature, it will automatically download and install it.

NOTE: Make sure that the download file is 50MB or larger. This is to ensure that you are downloading the complete update file.

Let us know if you were able to complete the update.
