    I am not receiving my bitlocker recovery key via my microsoft account email address


    I am having issues starting my laptop, I need to perform a bitlocker recovery. However, I am not receiving my bitlocker recovery key via my microsoft account. I went to https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey and was able to verify my email address. I did this 24 hours ago, however, I have still not received my recovery key.Did I do something wrong? Did something go wrong? Can this take more than 24 hours?Thanks in advance for your help I'm going a bit crazy going in circles and reading the help online...!PS: not 100% sure I have Windows 11...

    1. Are you not able login to your computer due to BitLocker Recovery Key?
    2. Did you ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key on your computer?
    3. Are you not able to login to your Microsoft Account to find the BitLocker Recovery Key?
    4. Are you using Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Professional?

    Meanwhile, try finding BitLocker Recovery Key if you have ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key for your computer.

    Please elaborate on the issue, so that we can understand the concern and get back to us to help you further.

    Bitlocker Recovery Key

    No, no other accounts.

    What puzzles me is why the Bitlocker recovery key is not listed on the microsoft account, but there is a recovery key listed there for a computer I do not recognise.

    I have several laptops but only the HP Envy has had Bitlocker on it. So what key is this on my account? And why isn't the Envy key there?

    Bitlocker Recovery Key with university email

    I used a university email to sign into Windows 10 on my personal device and needed to take the laptop to a repair shop. They needed the Bitlocker recovery key to get out of a repair loop, but when I signed in with the Azure account, it signs me in, and
    lists the device, but there is no bitlocker key on the website. I contacted my university IT department and they told me to contact Microsoft because they do not keep bitlocker recovery keys for personal devices. I couldn't find a support page or number on
    the bitlocker page so I am coming here for any help possible. Thank you.
