Windows 10: I am not receiving verification code in my email and can't use my Windows 11 laptop because...

I tried several times and forum, "Microsoft Support" ways to try to receive a verification code to login into my Windows 11 computer and none is working. I can't even access to security settings at Outlook so I'm stuck on trying to login on my laptop.

• Where exactly do you get the prompt/notification to verify the email address?
  
• How are you trying to verify the email?
  

However, you can try using other options to request the verification code i.e. requesting the code over a call or as a text to your phone number and see if that helps in resolving the issue.

Receiving wrong verification code to verify email

Hi

I have been contantly asked to verify my email. when I try the system asks for a code. The email I receive has a code; 7 numbers long..... the code requested allows only 4 numbers.

Why? and how do I resolve?

Verification email not received

I just set up a child account, which is still pending. I switch the user on my laptop to the account I created and logged into email. There are two Welcome emails from Microsoft, but not a verification email. I've check my email for the verification email.
I've logged off, restarted my computer and still no verification email. The child account I created won't have the security I set up until I verify the account (I've tested this too and they will have access to Google if I allow them the username and password
right now)

Any idea how long it takes to get the verification email and if I can request a second email be sent or use a code?
