Windows 10: I am not recognized as an administrator on Windows 11

I am not able to access a number of features on my own home computer, which I'm certain is due to upgrading from Windows 10 to 11. Nothing I've found in other forums works, because when I do any of them, the immediate response from my system is to tell me that I do not have access and need to contact a system admin/IT department. Windows not recognizing ssd

Windows won't see the drive until it has been partitioned and formatted. Go into "Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management" and see if it's listed in the middle pane.

 

Change of administrator on Windows 11

Hi,

I am planning to change my administrator account to a new Microsoft account on Windows 11. I am confident on technical steps but I have a question on consequences. What I mean by that is: when I change my administrator account,

• do I lose some data?
  
• Can I access the data from the previous admin user folder? etc.
  

May I request you to help me with the points where it could go wrong and lose my data or access to the data please? Thanks in advance.

As per the issue description you need to run an application in administrator mode even though you are logged in as administrator. Here are few steps which you may try to run an application in administrator mode always.

Method 1

If you are using any shortcut for opening or running the application then you may try the steps provided below.

• Right-click the shortcut, click Properties.
• Click Advanced. Select Run as Administrator.

Method 2 (affects all shortcuts, and works on jump-lists and opening files with the application):

• Go to the location of the executable.
• Right click AppThatRequiresAdminRights.exe and select Troubleshoot Compatibility.
• Select the option Troubleshoot program after the wizard has finished detecting issues.
• Choose the The program requires additional permissions option. The wizard will apply the
  Run as Administrator setting to AppThatRequiresAdminRights.exe program.
• Click (required) and close the wizard.
