Windows 10: I am ocassionally stuck on the boot menu when turning on my PC.

Every so often when I turn on my computer, it stays stuck on the boot menu. Pressing any of the buttons to enter my BIOS doesn't work when it is frozen. I have to constantly shut down and turn on my PC until I get lucky and get past the frozen boot menu. I could only assume that the problem lies with either my motherboard, power supply, or boot drive. Although I am planning to replace my storage, it would be nice to know if there's another thing that is wrong with my system.My current specs are:Motherboard: MSI Z370-A ProCPU: Intel i5 9600KRAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2x8GB 3200 MHzGPU: GIGABYT

Toshiba Laptop Stuck at Boot Menu

I understand the inconvenience you are facing with the laptop which is stuck at boot menu.

1. What is the model number of the laptop?
   
2. What is the error you have received when you try to boot the computer to desktop?
   

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and let us know if that helps.

Method 1

Unplug all the external devices and then try to boot the computer to desktop.

Method 2

Unplug the AC adapter to your laptop. Remove the Battery. Hold power button for 30 seconds. Then leave it set for 15-20 plus minutes (Letting it sit longer won't really help to much) and then just plug back in ONLY AC adapter and see if it shows the
hard drive in the BIOS.

Method 3

Start your PC in safe mode

I suggest you to refer the article “Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10”
for the steps.

If the issue still persists I suggest you to refer the article Recovery options in Windows 10
for more information.

Note: This article includes Reset your PC and
Use installation media to reinstall Windows 10 as the options. I suggest you to ignore these options, since there is a chances of data loss. This will remove all your personal files, apps and drivers you installed, apps and customizations from
your PC manufacturer, and changes you made to settings.

Stuck at Boot

Please try the steps below.

Step 1: Boot into Safe Mode

To bypass the problematic settings, try booting your laptop into Safe Mode:

1. Turn off your laptop.
   
2. Turn it on and immediately start pressing the F8 key (or Shift + F8) repeatedly until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears.
   
3. Select "Safe Mode" and press Enter.
   

Step 2: Use BCDEdit to Revert Changes

If you can boot into Safe Mode, use BCDEdit to revert the changes:

1. Open Command Prompt with administrative privileges.
   
2. Execute the following commands to revert the changes:
