Windows 10: I am on the recovery screen and I can't write any letters but I can write numbers is there...

I want to give a fresh insult windows I wanted to leave everything and now I'm on the recovery screen unable to write any letters I tried to change the keyboard layout but it's also not working or maybe I'm just using wrong layout so I can write numbers but not letters please help

Windows comes with two programs that will help you do this.

Notepad is a very rudimentary program. It is primarily useful for writing notes (!), shopping lists, and the like, but you could use it to write a very simple letter.

WordPad has a few more features, including the ability to select fonts, insert images, and other simple word processor tasks. WordPad should be more than sufficient for writing a letter.

To start either program, click Start, type the name (Notepad or WordPad) in the Search box, and press Enter.

To print from WordPad, click the blue menu button at the upper left corner and then select Print:

Hi just want to write a letter and print off copy. Help.

 

Using Notepad to write a simple letter.

I am trying to write a simple letter using Notepad. I do not have MSWord etc. anymore. I may write 2 letters a year and it's not cost-effective.

I am trying to format sentences so they wrap around. The sentences get broken apart thru several lines. tried word wrap.

Any suggestions?
