Windows 10: I am only able to use 40GB out of my 930GB SSD

I am switching from my HDD to an SSD. I am on the SSD now, but can only use 40GB out of my total available to use 930GB. In my storage screen is says Local Disk C: - 930GB. But it also says Installed apps 7.93/39.1GB used. How do I get the rest of my storage?

Until the BIOS sees your M.2, there's nothing you can do. It does not matter if the M.2 is unformatted/unallocated, the BIOS should see it.

1. Suggest that you take the M.2 out, clean all the contacts and re-seat it and hope this is the case.
2. If step one fails. Connect your 250GB SSD back in using one of the SATA port to see if the BIOS recognize it. If it doen't, then it might be something wrong with the MB, if it does then boot up the Windows Installation USB, run diskpart, shrink it at least 40GB then create a partition, Leave it unallocated then install Windows there.

Also try to re-seat all other components such as Memory, Video card etc...

Not able to upgrade to Windows 11 due to unsupported CPU

Hi Everyone,

I have an AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1900x 8-core CPU. It surpasses all the Windows 11 requirements but My PC health check still shows not able to upgrade due to an unsupported CPU. The PC meets all other requirements

• secure boot
  
• TPM2.0 enabled
  
• 40GB system RAM
  
• 240 GB SSD
  
• 8 Core
