    I am repeatedly getting a crash and restart on a new ASUS ROG computer and need help...


    I am repeatedly getting a hard shutdown and reboot on a newly purchased ASUS ROG pc. that appears to be related to windows updates that I am unable to turn off or restrict. The event log shows an unexpected error and the following message:The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000116 0xffffaa087e1be010, 0xfffff805a01523e0, 0xffffffffc000009a, 0x0000000000000004. A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\060324-9671-01.dmp. Report Id: dbc0014d-5d07-

    Random restarts

    when you start the computer up press F8 repeatedly until you get a list of how to start windows, choose do not automatically restart on system failure. if your getting bsod's list what your getting here so we can further help you. IF the system is not getting bsod's and still restarting as you say then i would look into getting a line conditioner for your computer as you might be having power issues.

    • What is the make and model of the pc?

    • What are the troubleshooting steps you have already tried?

    I would suggest you to unplug all external devices connected to the pc and restart the pc to check if you are able to get to the desktop screen.


    Ensure to plug in the power cord to the socket and check if you are able to get to the desktop screen.

    After getting to the desktop screen, ensure to install any pending updates and also update all device drivers from Device Manager. Once this is done restart the computer to check the status.

    Windows 10 Version 1709 restart problem ASUS ROG logo stuck

    Hi,

    Problem:

    Windows 10 Version 1709 restart problem ASUS ROG logo stuck

    What I did:

    Install Windows 10 Version 1709 through Windows 10 Update Assistant

    Steps:

    1. Windows 10 Update Assistant ask to Install Windows 10 Version 1709

    2. Download complete successfully

    3.Windows 10 Update Assistant ask to RESTART to complete Installation

    4. I RESTART

    5. The Laptop Boot

    6. Got stuck on the ASUS ROG logo

    7. Stay there for 8hs

    8. Never get to start WINDOWS

    9. I did a hard RESET

    10. The Laptop start Restoring to a Previews Windows Version.

    11. Windows starts NORMALLY

    12. Windows 10 Update Assistant ask to RESTART

    13. Back to step 1.
