Windows 10: I am still not happy about my Microsoft password.

I now Know that a Microsoft password and a local password are different.

I didn't understand this for years. And a Hotmail password is different.

I made my main Email address a Gmail address as I much prefer using Gmail to Hotmail.

When I log onto Microsoft it correctly states that my email address is a Gmail address But as soon as I enter Microsoft my email address seems to change to my Hotmail outlook email. So altogether you are looking at 4 different passwords you have no idea which to use. Microsoft should at the very least make it clear to which password went for which service. I have in the past changed a password and immediately gone back but it is the wrong password I have changed. Why cant these passwords be able to be looked at by the owners of the passwords why are they always hidden. I think the owners of the passwords must rebel against you big teck companies and force them to give us access to our own passwords. The computer quit often Knows the password and when it does it must be forced to reveal it.

Then as a user, we will be able to remember them more easily.


But the biggest problem is to Know which password goes with which service. Should I use my Gmail password By the way Google is so much easier with all there services have the same password and was the reason I tried to leave the Microsoft environment as much as I could but landed myself in so much trouble trying to do this Because I have made Gmail account my primary email account in Microsoft?


I still find I have to keep my Hotmail account open because Microsoft Forces me to do it. I only use this email address when I really have to.


I have now changed my Microsoft password for what seems the 100th time. Microsoft then askes using my Gmail account to log on with the local windows account to change it and make it the same as the Microsoft account. Know I always thought the local account was my main google password account but haven't used it for years as I was using my 4 digit pin number for my computer.

I thought that was the end after 3 linked passwords failed I ended up using my Microsoft password and it worked to change something that had already been changed. Why would Microsoft ask me to change something that had already been changed.

Where I ended up getting undone by the system was that I made 2 different logs in accounts one for my main google account where I have all the services of google Including 10 Terabytes on my google drive. It was fine at first until Microsoft started locking me out of parts of the computer including locking me out of my Microsoft user account because the pin number I was using was wrong too many times. For years same pin number got you into ether accounts. Then suddenly the pin only worked on my google User account and not on my Microsoft user account.


One thing I would love to ask is how we the public negotiate between the different internet giants and phone companies. They all say whether its a computer or phone company everything will work better if you let the supplier of the product supply all the services. Microsoft laptop, Desktop, Samsungsmartphone, And of course google having its hands in everything.

Can't sign in to windows with the same password by which I am able to sign in to my Microsoft account

This issue might occur if there is change in Microsoft account settings.



To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

• When you say that "windows using the same password", are you getting any error message when you enter the password?
• Have you checked the issue while entering with a different keyboard?
• Were you connected the computer to a internet connection while logging into the computer with Microsoft account?
• When you say that "resetting the password.", have you tried to reset the password from Microsoft website?

I suggest you to follow the steps below to enter the password through different keyboard and through On-screen keyboard. Check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to try entering the password with a different password.

Step 2: I recommend you to check the internet connect of the computer and make sure that internet is available for the computer while enter the Microsoft password.

Step 3: I suggest you to follow the steps provided in the Microsoft account and check if it helps.
