Windows 10: I am stuck at boot and repair tool

When my computer froze, I held down the power button on my desktop. After that, windows was acting weird and when I logged in, some programs and apps, including the Taskbar were frozen. I tried restarting for a while and then got sent to the repair tool. I tried going into safe mode, but the windows boot screen showed up without the spinning circle below the windows logo. It seemed to go on forever so I tried doing other options like command prompt and uninstalling the recent update, but they required the password. I only know my pin and forgot the password a year ago. I need help badly.

To isolate your concern, since you were able to access Advanced options, have you also tried doing a system restore? If yes, and it does not resolve the issue we suggest that you perform Repair Master Boot Record. To do so, follow the steps below:

• Boot to Windows Recovery Menu.
• Click Troubleshoot.
• On Advanced options, click Automatic repair.
  
• We need to use the Bootrec.exe tool. Click on command prompt and type the commands below:
  

bootrec /RebuildBcd
bootrec /fixMbr

bootrec /fixboot

Exit

5. Reboot the computer.

Stuck in auto repair loop

If the screen is stuck for a long time on auto repair, I suggest you to restart the computer using power button and check. If the issue still persist, I suggest you to check if you are able to boot the computer into Safe Mode environment and check.

To use a Safe Boot option, follow these steps:

• 
  Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured for booting to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.
  
• 
  Select an option to “Safe mode with networking” using the arrow keys on the keyboard when the Windows Advanced Options menu
  appears, and then press ENTER.

Automatic Repair stucks on windows 10

I suggest you to try repairing the system using Windows 10 installation media and check if it helps.

Step 2: After creating the tool perform a Startup Repair.

I would like to inform that, if your Windows 10 is not able to boot or startup, Startup Repair will come into action and try to diagnose and fix the issue. It will scan system files, registry settings, configuration settings and more and try
to fix the problem on its own, automatically.

Perform the Startup repair:

      When your computer starts, wait for the manufacturer logo to check the option for boot menu, it will usually be F12.
      
    • 
      The boot menu key might differ with each manufacturer. If you are unable to find the boot menu key, you may refer the user manual.
      
    • 
      Restart the computer, when the manufacturer's logo is displayed, keep pressing the Boot menu option key to enter the boot menu and change the boot option to CD\DVD ROM.
      
    • 
      After you boot your computer using Windows 10 DVD, a black screen appears with gray text "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD". Press any key.
      
    • 
      Select the correct time and Keyboard type.
      
    • 
      Click Repair your computer in the lower left corner
      
    • 
      Click on Troubleshooting, advanced option and then click Startup repair.
