Windows 10: I am the only one in a shared flat who is experiencing WiFi issues

I share a student flat with 3 friends. This flat has this exact booster inside it and the router is downstairs in a locked cupboard. Before I moved in, I had only used ethernet at home and experienced no issues. Powerline adapters / ethernet is not a possibility due to the location of the router. My phone and Xbox do not have any issues in the same room.For the last 5 months, I have been using this USB dongle upon recommendation from one of my flatmates who has no issues.
