  2. Eternal Western Digital wd7500bpvt USB Hard drive detected in Device Manager but NOT in Windows Explorer

    Hi,

Eternal Western Digital wd7500bpvt connected by USB is detected in Device Manager but NOT viewable in Windows Explorer. In device manager the Hard drive is detected and it has the latest driver from Microsoft. When I went to update the driver it says you
have the latest driver and says the device is working properly.

Unfortunately, I am not able to view or read anything from it in Windows Explorer. Any suggestions here as I want to retrieve the data on this drive.

    Thanks

  3. unintialized western digital hard disk drive

My western digital hard disk drive was functioning quite well on my system but suddenly it stopped coming up in autoplay or file explorer and in the disk management it is listed as "uninitialized". Please what do I do?

    Unknown Drives in Device Manager

I.ve recently noticed that ALL of my computers drives are listed as "Unknown" in Device Manager. I've checked in Properties to upgrade drivers only to be informed that the "best drivers for this device is already installed" against all the drives including HDD's, SSD's and USB drives. the machine runs fine and in Disk Management they are all listed as they should be. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? All hard drives appear in the BIOS as they should.
