I was making a Microsoft account for my school but while I was trying to add the school email the verification code would not come through. Is there any way I can fix this or an alternate way to add the email?

Unlink School Account

Ok that started to make sense now. So where you clicked is not referring to your main account/local user, but account used by email/Microsoft apps. So since your office 365 apps are using the school email credentials it sends you there. That’s normal.

The reason it is not listed under access work or school is because I believe you didn’t allow it to access your settings. When you sign into office 365 apps there’s a pop up asking if you allow organization to access your settings you have the option to choose “for this app only”. Otherwise if you choose allow your school email will be listed under access work or school.

 

Seperate Personal Microsoft Account from School Account
