Windows 10: I am trying to burn an audio CD (CD-R) on a LiteOn burner (eBAU108-11).

The burn process starts, quickly advances to 34% then 67% then ejects the disk and says "burn failed". What am I doing wrong. Using USB 2.0 and trying to burn .wma files. ACER Windows 10 computer. Any suggestions?

Burning photos to a CD Disc

Hi Jimmy,

We suggest that you use Windows Media Player to burn the images. Please follow the steps below:

• Open Windows Media Player.
• In the Player Library > Burn tab > select
  Burn options.
• Choose Audio CD or Data CD or DVD.
• Insert a blank disc into your CD or DVD burner. (Select the drive you want to use if your PC has more than one CD or DVD drive)
• Search for the items in your Player Library that you want to burn to the disc, and then drag them to the list pane (on the right side of the Player Library) to create a burn list.
• When you're finished with the list, select Start burn.

Note: If necessary, click the Clear list button to remove all items from the previous burn list.

When ever I try to burn an Audio CD The Following message comes up

I suggest you to do one or more of the following and try again.

• Verify that the CD burner is connected properly.
• 
  Clean the disc and verify that it is not damaged.
  
• 
  Try a different brand of blank discs.
  
• 
  If another program is currently burning files to the CD, wait until the burning process is complete.
  
• 
  Quit other programs that might be using the CD burner.
  
• 
  Restart Windows Media Player.
  
• 
  Restart your computer.
  
• 
  Select a slower recording (write) speed for the CD burner.
  

Also, run the Windows Media Player DVD troubleshooter by following the steps provided below:

• Type Troubleshooting in the search bar and press Enter.
• In the top left corner, click on View All.
• From the list, click on Windows Media Player DVD.
• Follow the on-screen instructions for troubleshooting.

external cd drive/burner plays but wont burn cds


Hi I have recently installed an external cd/dvd drive/burner on windows 10. I can get it to play cds but it will not burn. It keeps coming up with this error msg when i try to burn- 'The disc wasn't burned successfully. Make sure that you have the latest firmware for you cd or dvd burner installed and then try again'.
Any ideas?
