Windows 10: I am trying to burn some mp3s onto an empty CD. The burning process is fine until it tries...

It's all smooth sailing until windows media player attempts to finalize the burning and states that "Windows Media Player could not complete burning because the disc is not compatible with your drive. Try inserting a different kind of recordable media or use a disc that supports a write speed that is compatible with your drive."The empty disk is a TDK double layer DVD+R DL. I have tried all available burning speeds 6x, 4x, 3x and the same problem occurs every time. I will be trying a different kind of empty CD to see if that works, but I don't know anything about this process, so please bear

CD won't burn!!!

I bought and downloaded 2 MP3 files (accompaniment tracks) cuz I have to sing at a service in 3 days. I want them on cd. I have a new laptop with Windows 10.

Using the Windows media player the burn process looks like all is well but when I try to play the finished cd there is nothing on it. It says 1kb.

I tried changing settings etc. even downloaded NCH burn software. Does the same thing. ... Goes thru the burn process fine, cd ejects but nothing on it. Wasted about 20 CDs do far.

Can an anyone offer suggestions? Pleeeesse!?!?!

• Which application are you using to burn the disc?
• What is the make and model of the computer?

Let’s try simple steps and check if you are able to burn the CDs.

• 
  Insert the disc, open file explorer and click on the file you want to burn.
  
• Click on Share tab on top of the left pane and Burn to disc.
