    I am trying to figure out why this MSR partition is showing up as damaged.


    I have just gone through a whole nightmare with my HDD and SSD ie. blue screen, resetting, and cloning system to different drive. Now everything is working pretty well except for i have what looks like a damaged volume in diskgenius under drive 1 HDD which contains my os c: drive . The file system is MSR and the capacity is 128 MB. it comes up labelled as MSR0-DAMAGED with the file system as msr. but in the information beneath it is labelled as ntfshidden. ive messed up a whole lot and would really just love to start fresh on this laptop.

    Oops I deleted the MSR partition, Will something go wrong?

    So as the title suggests, I accidentally deleted the 128 mb MSR partition on my Windows 10 laptop,

    I was trying to fix a partitioning problem that I had and saw the 128mb unlabelled partition on my partition software.

    I didn't think that it could be the MSR partition and then I deleted it, I haven't noticed any problems as of yet but I am worried that as I have a uefi system I think it could break my laptop and I will lose all my stuff,

    Please help my laptop is still new and I don't want to have to get a new one.

    Help! Data partition not showing under my computer

    This is happening on a windows 2000 server. Our second partition of the system, for data is not showing under my computer. Here are the properties of it in disk management:


    I am trying to figure out why this MSR partition is showing up as damaged. partition.jpg


    Now under logical drives its listed as F and shows free space available.

    Suggestions on how to fix this?

    Issues with MSR Partition

    I hate to bring this up, but a System Reserved Partition is only present on Legacy installs. An MSR (Microsoft Reserved partition) is located on GPT configured drives.

    So, is the message incorrect or is something else going on. The System Reserved Partition normally included the boot files and the Recovery tools... Maybe it is actually referring to the Recovery partition. I would try to increase the size of that partition
    to around 900 MBs. Third party partition managers can do that but of course, it can be dangerous to your install.
